- "Kampar is a regency (kabupaten) of Riau, Indonesia. It has an area of 11,289.28 km2 and had a population of 686,204 at the 2010 Census and 793,005 at the 2015 Census; the latest official estimate (as at 1 July 2019) was 854,441.
The regency is divided into 21 districts (kecamatan). The administrative centre of the regency is located at Bangkinang.
