- Note
- "Briey (French pronunciation: [bʁijɛ]; German:"Brietz") is a former commune in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in northeastern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Val de Briey.
It is located both above and in a steep section of the valley of the River Woigot, some thirty kilometers to the west of the autoroute that connects Metz with Luxembourg. The town itself had a gradually declining population through much of the twentieth century, but the level has recently recovered to around 5,000." - (en.wikipedia.org 21.09.2020) - Latitude
